Mr. Robert Manlus "Bob" Troutman, 87, of 5475 Irish Potato Road, Kannapolis, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at Avante at Concord. Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ron Rider and the Rev. Marion Fulk will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a brother, Charles L. Troutman, 5475 Irish Potato Road, Kannapolis. Born July 6, 1916 in San Diego, California, he was a son of the late Charlie Fritzgerald Troutman and Neva Marie Ellis Troutman. He had lived in this area since 1931 and formerly worked at Cannon Mills, Plant Four in Kannapolis and Linn Corriher Mills in Landis. He attended Bethel Wesleyan Church for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Velma Troutman, Marie Troutman and Katie Challiee. Survivors include four sisters, Earnibell Troutman, Evelyn Wensil and Goldie Elaine Wensil, all of Kannapolis and Esther Patterson of China Grove; and two brothers, Charles Troutman of Kannapolis and George Troutman of Fayetteville.
