Roberta Stribling Esser

Mrs. Roberta "Bert" Lane Stribling Esser, 70, of 1855 North Enochville Avenue died Thursday, September 23, 2004, at her home after twenty years of declining health and a year of serious illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Edwards will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family the will be at her residence on Enochville Avenue. Mrs. Esser was born February 2, 1934 in Macon, GA. She was a daughter of the late Worley Lane Stribling and Grace Rachel Campbell Stribling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Hunter. Mrs. Esser is survived by her husband, Roland "Ron" J. Esser; two sons, Lewis Wapp, Jr. and Jeffrey Wapp, both of Appleton, WI; three sisters, Flora Reid, Carolyn Garmon, and Helen Ross, all of Kannapolis; one brother, Worley Lane Stribling, Jr. of Kannapolis; two granddaughters and two great granddaughters.
