Roger Dale Bostic

Mr. Roger Dale Bostic, Sr, 67, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at his residence.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Randy Tucker will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home.

Mr. Bostic was born March 24, 1947 in Mecklenburg County. He was a son of the late James Alvin Bostic and Annie Sue Lord Bostic. He worked for Concord Builders as a construction supervisor. Roger was known to be a hard worker. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, working in his garden, and all types of construction projects. Roger attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

In addtion to his parents, Mr. Bostic was also preceded in death by a son, Shane Oxendine and a brother, Dwight Bostic.

Mr. Bostic is survived by his wife, Libbye Metz Bostic; two daughters; Wanda Culley of Indian Land, SC and Wendy Higgins of Rockwell; two sons, Roger D. Bostic, Jr. of Liberty and William “Bill” Oxendine of Rockwell; three sisters, Susan Bostic of Rockwell, Debbie Moffitt of Salisbury and Thelma Rogers of SC; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
