Roger Dale Hamby

Mr. Roger Dale Hamby, Sr., 63, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Posey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday July 10, 2013 at Lady's Funeral Home.

Roger was born on April 9, 1950 in Tazewell, VA. He was owner/operator of Roger's Carpet & Vinyl.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Roger Dale Hamby, Jr.

Roger is survived by daughter, Annette Jones and husband Jeff of Mooresville; two step-daughters, Kelly Sloop and husband Mike and Kema Jenkins, all of Concord; three brothers, Frank Hamby and wife Linda of Salisbury, John Hamby and wife Judy of Eden and Carl Hamby and wife Stella of Rockwell; five grandchildren, Veronica and Samantha Jones, Lauren Saunders and husband Jordan, Logan Sloop and wife Katlyn and Josh Friar.
