Ronald Jimmy Wine, Sr.

Mr. Ronald Jimmy Wine, Sr., 71, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, July 13, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Bishop Herman Crockett will officiate. Interment will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am prior to his service at Lady's Funeral Home.Ronald was born on December 10, 1954 in Manhattan, NY. He was a son of the late Eddie Wine and Laura Green Wine. Mr. Wine proudly served in the US Army for many years. After retiring from the military, he worked as a commercial truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Sterling and Annette Wine, and brother, Artie Wine.

Mr. Wine is survived by brother Kenneth Wine, Sister Suzannah Wine-Hassan Bey, and his eight children, Jamar Wine of Charlotte and Ronald Wine Jr. and wife Desiree of Concord, Yolanda Wine, Doran Thompson, and Desiree Thompson, all of Louisville, KY, Mercy Wanjiru, Maryanne Wambui and Maryland Green; 36 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five nephews; and four nieces.
