Rosalee Sellers Allen

Mrs. Rosalee Sellers Allen, 92, formerly of Kluttz Street, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, March 7, 2011, at First Wesleyan Church. Rev. Mike Hilson and Rev. J.V. Allen will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Monday at the church. Mrs. Allen was born April 19, 1918 in Ruby, SC. She was the daughter of the late Julius V. Sellers and Lula Ann Sellers. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked for over 30 years in the sewing room of Plant 1 as an inspector. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert B. Allen; and her brother, Wilbert Sellers. Mrs. Allen is survived by three daughters, Paulette Hinson and husband, Ray of Mooresville, Martha James and husband, Leonard of Concord and Windel "Windy" Scott and husband, Harold of Lancaster, SC; son, Rev. Julius V. Allen and wife, Ann of Denver, NC; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Memorial may be made to the First Wesleyan Church, 301 Bethpage Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
