Rosana Burris Strickland

Mrs. Rosana Burris Strickland, 86, of 808 Oval Street, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Strickland will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Enochville at 2:00 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Stephen Burrow and the Rev. Don Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lady's Funeral Home, Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the residence on Oval Street. Mrs. Strickland was born in Stanly County on December 28, 1922. She was member of the First Baptist Church of Enochville and retired from the pillowcase department of Cannon Mills Co., Plant No. 1. Survivors include her husband George E. Strickland; a son, Terry Strickland and wife Donna of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Lee Burris of Albemarle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorials for Mrs. Strickland may be made to the Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 512 Klumac Road, Suite #3, Salisbury, NC 28144.
