Rose Restucci Malina

Mrs. Rose Restucci Malina, 78, died Friday, November 19, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Ann Malina Wells, in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:30 pm Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor James Matchette and Pastor Vic Dobner will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Malina was born January 27, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Anna Maresca Restucci and Anthony Restucci. She was a retired nursing assistant having worked at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY and St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Joseph Malina; son, Thomas A. Malina; sister, Anna Restucci Grass; and two brothers, Anthony Restucci and Robert Restucci. Mrs. Malina is survived by nine children: Ann Marie Malina Wells (Fred) of Concord, Joseph J. Malina (Judy) of Lowell, Alice Malina Hauser (Karl) of Concord, Agnes "Lee" Malina (Stephen) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Anthony R. Malina of Bonifay, FL, John R. Malina (Patricia) of Winston Salem, Karl A. Malina and Robert J. Malina (Sarah) all of Kannapolis, Athena "Tina" Malina Taylor (John) of Newton. A daughter-in-law, Kate Malina of Pine Bush, NY; two brothers, Joseph Restucci (Buddy) of Staten Island, NY and Ralph Restucci (Diana) of Orlando, FL; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 in memory of Mrs. Malina.
