On May 22, 2006, Roy Alton Teague graduated from this life at NorthEast Medical Center to the life triumphant at the age of 61. Funeral services for are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Raymond Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with graveside rites conducted by DAV Chapter 27 of Concord. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home, 322 Elwood Street. Mr. Teague was born December 15, 1944 in North Wilkesboro, NC. He was a son of the late Alton Walter Teague and Nancy Vesta Blevins Teague. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in Korea. In 1973, Roy joined the National Guard Unit 1454 in Concord and served until 1993. In 1991, as part of the National Guard, he served our country in Desert Storm. Roy worked for Security Services USA in Charlotte as a security guard, where he was stationed at Stanley Tools in Concord. In addition to his parents, Mr. Teague was preceded in death by two sisters, Shelby Jean Dayvault and Hazel Faye Mason. Mr. Teague is survived by his wife, Joyce Donahue Teague; a daughter, Lisa Teague of Kannapolis; two sons, Chris Teague and Matt Teague, both of the home; a sister, Verna Ruth Lewis of Gloucester, VA; a brother, James Teague of Kannapolis; and one grandchild, Jordan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to DAV Memorial Program, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
