Ruby Martha Owens

Mrs. Ruby Martha Owens, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, June 18, 2012, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Rev. Gary Posey will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:15 am Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. Survivors include .

Mrs. Owens was born June 20, 1928 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Charles Edward Hopkins and Gracie Eudy Hopkins. She was employed by Celanese in Salisbury.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lionel Sanders; two brothers, Paul and Lewis Hopkins; and sister, Ethel Hagler.

Mrs. Owens is survived by two sons, Terry Sanders of Concord and Patrick Sanders of China Grove; daughter, Christine Henderson of Florida; and two sisters, Ruth Whittington of Concord and Katherine Mullis of Florida.
