Ruth Dial

Mrs. Ruth Ella Rich Dial, 89, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 am to 1:45 pm Friday, October 18, 2013, prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dial was born on August 14, 1924 in Borger, TX. She was a daughter of the late Roy Edward Rich and Hattie Sides Rich. She was a receptionist for Associated Grocers. Mrs. Dial was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on January 13, 2005 by her husband, John Edwin Dial; four sisters; and four brothers.

Mrs. Dial is survived by a daughter, Daryle Ruth Dial Phillips (Larry) of Kannapolis; three sons, Thomas “Tommy” Edwin Dial (Peggy) of Midland, Charles Jarris Dial (Tamara) of Gold Hill and Michael “Mike” Harris Dial (Janet) of China Grove; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
