Mrs. Ruth Menius Clark Kerley, 95, went to her Heavenly home from her residence on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris O’Guin will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive from 12:00 to 1:30 pm Thursday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kerley was born on December 23, 1918 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Lucky Menius and Mary Elizabeth Strube Menius. She was employed by Cannon Mills and Terry Products and retired from SHOE SHOW, INC on April 6, 2013.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, James Mack Kerley.
Mrs. Kerley is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Clark Tucker and husband, Bob, of Concord; five step-children, Vera Hancock, Maxine Huffman, Renee Reinheardt, Jimmy Kerley and Bennie Kerley; two sisters, Mary M. Godfrey and Maude M. Rumple, both of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Tucker, Bobby Tucker and wife, Tammy, Greg Tucker and Lisa Tucker; seven great grandchildren, David Linker and wife Shelly, Dominique DeLaney and husband, Andrew, Lyndon Tucker, Chase Tucker, Caroline Tucker, Chelsea Tucker and Arianna Tucker; and four great-great grandchildren, Lindsay, Jeffrey, Christopher Linker and baby DeLaney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
