Ruth Mcbride Shoemaker

Mrs. Ruth McBride Shoemaker, 78, a resident of First Assembly Living Center in Concord and formerly of Kannapolis, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 21, 2002, at Franklin Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Jernigan officiating. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at their respective homes. Born December 12, 1923, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. McBride and the late Mary Dean McBride. Mrs. Shoemaker was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Linda F. Crisp and her husband, Ansel, of York, SC; a sister, Grace M. Bullaboy of Kannapolis; a brother, Floyd G. McBride of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Ginger F. Bolin, Tiffany F. Horton, W. Craig Crisp and Clayton J. Crisp; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 526 Wright Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
