Samuel Ray Blackmore

Mr. Samuel Ray Blackmore, 69, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A reflection of life is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2012, at The Amity House at Lady's. Mr. Blackmore was born October 2, 1942 in The Plains, OH. He was a son of the late Paul Darnell, Sr. and Eileen McKee Belville. He retired from IBM after thirty years of service. After retirement, he became owner/operator of Computer Productivity Services. Mr. Blackmore is survived by his wife, Barbara Sparks Blackmore; daughter, Kimberly Rivenbark and her husband, Jeremy of Burgaw; son, Michael Blackmore and his wife, Jennifer of Charlotte; sister, Linda Mayer and brother Paul Darnell, Jr. of Pomeroy, OH, a brother Ron Belville of Marysville, IL and brother Robert Belville of Dunlap IL; step-mother, Ila Darnell of Middleport, OH; granddaughter, Malea Blackmore and grandson, Aiden Blackmore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
