Samuel Clarence Reavis

August 1, 1912 — March 23, 2006

Mr. Samuel Clarence Reavis, 93, a resident of Morningside Assisted Living Center, Concord, NC and formerly of South Walnut Street, died Thursday, March 23, 2006. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rich Szekely and Rev. Larry Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Reavis was born August 1, 1912 in Davie County, NC. He was a son of the late Roma F. Reavis and Maude Joyner Reavis. He was a graduate of Courtney High School in Yadkin County. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Engineers in North Africa and Italy. He retired from the cutting department of Cannon Mills in 1971. He has been a member of West Point Baptist Church for over 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sallie Faye Dull Reavis; two sons, Gary B. Reavis and wife, Barbara, and Mike Reavis and wife, Linda; two grandchildren, Lynn R. Clark and husband, Kevin, and Grayson Isenberg; two great grandchildren, Rebecca and Aaron Clark; and a sister, Maxine Hoots. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Cabarrus County, P.O. Box 1235, Concord, NC 28026.
