Sandra Kay Gray Mcbride

Mrs. Sandra Kay Gray McBride, 61, of 1302 Stone Avenue, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, December 12, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Grigg and Rev. Tim Jernigan will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mrs. McBride was born August 27, 1948 in Cocke County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Lonnie B. Gray and Frances Garner Gray. Before her disability, she worked for Grant's Retail store as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Kay Howell. Mrs. McBride is survived by her husband, Floyd Gray McBride; daughter, Tina Renee McBride of Kannapolis; step-son, Randy McBride of Kannapolis; two sisters, Joan Hensley and husband Dale of Dallas, NC and Barbara McCombs of Mt. Holly; two nephews, Ricky Kirkland of Stanley and Bobby Kirkland of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Brandon Beaver, Casey Beaver, Chris McBride, Laurie Ingle, and Traci Honeycutt; four great grandchildren, Candi, Jonathan, Logan and Landon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Heights Baptist Church, 526 Wright Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
