Sarah Edna Mccool

Mrs. Sarah Edna Pennington McCool, 95, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Best of Care Assisted Living in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, July 6, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCool was born September 17, 1919 in Decatur, MS. She was a daughter of the late Sidney Pennington and Dora Red Pennington. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in Washcloth Department of Plant One as an overedger. Sarah also was the Avon Lady throughout the Kannapolis and Concord area. She was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church and was an active member of the Optimist Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Berry McCool; daughter, Barbara Nell McCool; and six brothers and sisters.

Mrs. McCool is survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
