Sarah Aileen Rollins Burgess

Sarah Aileen Rollins Burgess, 75, a resident of Britthaven of Piedmont in Albemarle and formerly of Westover Avenue in Kannapolis, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at Britthaven of Piedmont. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 pm Friday, May 20, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Savage will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. Ms. Burgess was born January 8, 1930 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Boyd Rollins and Carrie Dee Blackwelder Rollins. She retired from the weave room of Cannon Mills Plant 1 in Kannapolis. Ms. Burgess is survived by two daughters, Becky Sawyer and her husband, Clyde, of Albemarle and Kathy Vinson and her husband, Jesse, of Emerald Isle, NC; one sister, Alberta R. Hunsucker of Concord; one brother, Bill Rollins of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren; one great grandchildren. She is also survived by Clyde W. Burgess, to whom she was married.
