Sarah Ruth Tyson Parker

Mrs. Sarah Ruth Tyson Parker, 89, of 1209 Carolyn Avenue, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at Morningside Assisted Living in Concord. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Leon Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at their respective homes. Born September 26, 1914, in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late James C. Tyson and Bennie Jordan Tyson. She was retired from Cannon Mills Company. She was a member of Royal Oaks Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Parker; and two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Clark of Lilesville; and a brother, Hugh Tyson of Kannapolis. Memorials may be sent to Royal Oaks Baptist Church, 904 Texas Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
