Seabron Zephaniah Fowler

July 19, 1915 — August 8, 2007

Mr. Seabron Zephaniah Fowler, 92, a resident of the Meadows in Rockwell and formerly of Rogers Lake Road, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at the care facility. A graveside service with interment to follow will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007, at Carolina Memorial Park. The Rev. Larry Beaver will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the US Army. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of a niece, Evelyn Story, 1236 Midlake Avenue, Kannapolis. Born July 19, 1915, in Royston, Georgia, he was the son of the late John Thomas Fowler and Amanda Bailey Fowler. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was the recipient of the American Theater Service Medal, EAME Service Metal with two bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. Mr. Fowler was a retired carpenter and master-builder of stairs. He was a member of Shadybrook Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Fowler Little. Survivors include two nephews, Thomas W. Little and wife, Donna, of Charlotte, Ray S. Little of Kannapolis; and two nieces, Elizabeth Beaver and husband, Larry, of Troy, and Evelyn Story and husband, Max, of Kannapolis. Memorials may be sent to Long Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 545, Troy, NC 27371 or the charity of the donor's choice.
