Shane Derrick Allen

Mr. Shane Derrick Allen, 50, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, in Kannapolis.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.

Mr. Allen was born July 31, 1972 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of James Dewey Allen and the late Carol Rufty Allen. He was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, Class of 1991. He enjoyed playing games, music, and loved working on cars. Mr. Allen worked as a fork lift operator for S&D Coffee.

In addition to his father, Mr. Allen is survived by his sister, Debra Allen of Kannapolis; brother, Keith Allen and wife Kathy of Kannapolis; nieces, Jamie Basso of Kannapolis and Madison Allen and husband AJ Gurley of Boise, ID; great nephew and niece, Chesley Basso and Brooklyn Basso; and special friend, Tara Weaks of Concord.
