Sharon Kay Belk Belanger

Mrs. Sharon Kay Belk Belanger, 71, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 pm Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis.

Sharon was born February 3, 1953 in New Orleans, LA. She was a daughter of the late John McDowd Belk and Ruth Phillips Belk Parnell. She worked for Pittney Bowes in Charlotte where she was Security Supervisor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Belanger.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Barton; daughter, Kimberly Belanger of Gastonia; son, David Belanger of Concord; sister, Myra Bebber of Locust; two brothers, Johnny Belk of Albemarle and Alan Belk and wife Kathy of Midland; two grandchildren, Christian Marie Reaves and Holly Leeann Reaves; and four great grandchildren, Cameron, Tyson, Aubrey and Quincy.
