Sherry Owens Hudson

Mrs. Sherry Owens Hudson, 51, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 pm Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne Austin will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hudson was born June 17, 1967 in Iredell County. She was the daughter of Violet Russell Cramer of Rockwell and the late Dolphus "Boots" Owens. She was a driver for DLB Trucking Company. Sherry loved riding motorcycles and animals, and enjoyed watching her birds. Sherry also loved to play with her grandchildren and talking about her daughters.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Russell.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Larry E. Hudson; two daughters, Carol Goodman and husband Brandon of Oak Grove, KY and Destiny Harvell of Salisbury; four brothers, Randy Dillard and wife Jackie of China Grove, William "Billy" Russell and wife Courtney of China Grove, Dean Elledge of Gold Hill and Roy Cramer and wife Libby of Concord; and three grandchildren, Sterling Mistretta, Aubri Goodman and Athena Kosinski.
