Shirley Allman Billings Joyner

Mrs. Shirley Bernice Allman Billings Joyner, 74, of 510 Camrose Circle, Concord, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tom Snipes and Pastor Art Webb will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence. Born August 10, 1933 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Pressley Allman and Inez Fisher Allman Love. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia "Patti" Billings Bonds; and her husband, Owen White "Whitey" Joyner. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Ross of Concord, Martie Billings of Ocean Isle Beach; a son, Richard Wayne Billings and wife, Sandy, of Concord; a brother, Jimmy Allman and wife, Carolyn, of Concord; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many loved aunts, uncles and very dear neighborhood friends.
