Shirley Juanita Hyde

Mrs. Shirley Juanita Martin Hyde, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2017, at West Corinth Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Suttles will officiate. Interment will follow at West Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Mooresville.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Saturday at West Corinth Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hyde was born February 5, 1937 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late William Alonzo Martin and Dora Thelma Bourne Martin. She retired from plant #6 cloth room of Cannon Mills.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford “Doc” Hyde.

Mrs. Hyde is survived by three daughters, Susan Bass and husband Ray of SC, Sylvia Bennett and husband Marvin of Concord and Sabrina Parker and husband Danny of Salisbury; two sisters, Doris Cress of China Grove and Iris Overcash of Kannapolis; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of those who have been so good to Shirley, especially the staff of Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
