Shirley Ann Sanders Taylor

Mrs. Shirley Ann Sanders Taylor, 73, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Service is scheduled for 1:30pm Friday, August 14, 2026, at Salisbury National Cemetery.

Shirley was born November 15,1952 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a daughter of the late Namon Sanders and Lonnie Bell Fenderson.

Shirley accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully walked with the Lord throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Solomon's Temple Church, where she continued to grow in her faith and serve with a loving heart.

On August 18, 1984, Shirley was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, William Taylor. Together they shared a loving and devoted marriage until William's passing.

Shirley dedicated several years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She later embraced her role as a full-time homemaker, lovingly raising and nurturing their family of five children.

Shirley found joy in attending church, traveling, gardening, and baking. Above all, she cherished her family and took great pride in being a loving, supportive, and devoted wife and mother. Her Kindness, strength, unwavering faith, and selfless love will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Taylor; and daughter, Katrina Patterson.

Shirley is survived by daughters, Toya Maxwell (Roncel) and Kyra Hibler (David); and sons, Sean Patterson (Erika), Christopher Taylor, 11 Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
