Shirley Ann Wallace

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Shirley Ann Wallace, who entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, July 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 3, 1952, Shirley lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family. To those who loved her most, she was proudly known as "Maw Maw."

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Wallace; her parents, Betty Jean Williams and Arthur Fred Williams; and her sister, Gilda Joy Hill.

She leaves behind her three loving sons, Jerry Williams and his fiancée Jennifer, Jamie Wallace and Omerys, and Eric Williams.

She is also survived by her beloved sister, Vonnie Davis; many beloved nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and her cherished grandchildren, Erica, Kingsleigh, Langston, Tristen, Melaneigh, Khaza, Wyatt, Avah, and Victoria. Being Maw Maw brought Shirley some of the greatest joy of her life.

Shirley retired after 30 years of dedicated service at Fieldcrest Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. She was a devoted mother, proud Maw Maw, loving sister, and treasured aunt whose kindness touched everyone she met.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her love and memories will remain with us forever.
