Mrs. Stephanie Karen Emerson Tucker, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home in Kannapolis.

Stephanie was born June 12, 1946 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Emmett Wishart Emerson and Mildred Lipe Emerson. She graduated from W.R. Odell High School in 1964. In her earlier years, she worked for Terry Products in Kannapolis until its closing. She later worked in home health caring for elderly people. She was an amazing cook and loved hosting meals for her family. Jerry and Stephanie were members of Midway Methodist Church where they were very active. They camped at Myrtle Beach every July. Stephanie loved her family and her animals and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Tucker; and a son, Charles Tucker.

Stephanie is survived by two sons, Barry Parks of Kannapolis and Mitchell Tucker of Waxhaw; daughter, Celeste Parks of Kannapolis; sister, Ann Emerson Allen of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Jacob Cowan (Melissa), Carly Burns (Charlie), Evan Tucker and Whitney Parks (Hayden Foster); and five great grandchildren.
