Steven Brown Winecoff

Mr. Steven "Steve" Brown Winecoff, 66, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Charity Baptist Church. Rev. Marty Payton will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, Sunday prior to the service at Charity Baptist Church.

Mr. Winecoff was born on December 15, 1945 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of the late Leon Winecoff and Lillian Brantley Winecoff. He was a graduate of A. L. Brown High School. Steve enjoyed watching sports on TV and collecting CB radios. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Winecoff is survived by his wife, Joyce Baker Winecoff; daughters, Sonya Lear and husband Marvin of Kannapolis and Glynis Lanier and husband Rodney of Wilmington; sister, Caroyl Carpenter of Kannapolis; step-children, Richard Sherman and wife Desiree of Kannapolis and Charles Sherman and wife Kristen of Boiling Springs, SC; 10 grandchildren and two great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
