Sue Ellen Hamilton

Mrs. Sue Ellen Weast Hamilton, 64, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Jackson Park Baptist Church in Kannapolis. Rev. Herman Absher will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Hamilton was born on May 12, 1948 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Marvin Lee Weast, Jr. and Sarah Ellen Hipps Weast.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Weast Lambert.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her daughter, Andrea Johnson Knight and husband Shane of Kannapolis; sister, Kelly Weast Chandler of Kannapolis; aunt, Elvie Hipps Sloope of Charlotte; stepmother, Ora Lee Weast Davis of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Trey Haeberle, Triston Knight, Austin Knight and Tyler Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Concord & Greater Cabarrus County, 2010 Wilshire Court, SW, Concord, NC 28025.
