A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, December 12, 2025, at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:30 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Sue was born January 1, 1948 in Mount Pleasant. She was a daughter of the late Paul Franklin Shue and Fannie Mae Shoaf Shue. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked as an inspector. She was a Jimmy Swaggart Media Member. She loved the simple, beautiful moments of life: days spent at the beach, feeling the breeze and listening to the waves; long bike rides that made her feel free; and time shared with the people she loved most. Her beautiful smile and pleasant personality made everyone feel welcome, seen, and cared for. Before her stroke, she lived life with energy and joy. Afterward, she showed incredible strength - a true fighter with a will that inspired everyone around her. She never stopped working hard, pushing forward with grace, determination, and faith.
With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great grandmother, and a woman whose gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She was a loving mom whose greatest joy came from her family - especially her grandchildren, who always brought a sparkle to her eyes.
She loved God, loved life, and loved people. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit will be remembered forever. May her legacy of love and faith continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Peggy Cranford, Sarah Harkey, Frankie Rowland, and Marsha Barringer; and four brothers, Boyd "Blondie" Shue, Boyce "Buck" Shue, Tony Shue, and Gary Shue; and a great grandson, Hutch Hall.
Sue is survived by her husband, Terry Lee Beaver; two children, Donnie Christy of Salisbury and Rita C. Williford and husband Todd of Kannapolis; three step-children, Tony Lee Beaver and wife Barbara of Rockwell, Tracy Danette Morrison and husband Michael of China Grove, and Timothy Lynn Beaver and wife Laurie of Rockwell; 12 grandchildren, Tyler Christy and wife Kaylan of China Grove, Tanner Christy and wife Aliya of Staley, Colby Williford of Nashville, TN, Katie Williford Hall and husband Josh of Mt. Pleasant, Jackson Williford and wife Kourtney of Apex, Lauren Whaley and husband Joe of Raleigh, Madison Cleary and husband Drew, Dillon Beaver, Isaiah Beaver, Karris Beaver, all of Rockwell, Ayden Morrison, and Michael Morrison, Jr., both of China Grove; and seven great grandchildren, Mason Christy, Briggs Christy, Walker Hall, Ford Hall, Brixley Beaver, Stetson Beaver, and Oak Beaver.
