Tara Roberson Yost

Tara Jean “Mawmaw Tara” Roberson Yost, 55, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 6:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, Kannapolis. Rev. Chris O’Guin will officiate

The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm – 5:45 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Tara was born September 13, 1960 in Winston-Salem, NC. She was the daughter of Frances Threadgill Roberson and the late Carl Eugene Roberson.

She was a very active member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church. She was a graduate of South Rowan High School in 1978 and from Wingate University is 1982. She worked for Phillips Morris USA for 27 years and then taught computer class at North Kannapolis Christian Academy.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, is her husband Charles L. Yost; two daughters, Kristina Giddings-Andrews and husband Stephen Andrews of China Grove and Jessica Ann Burnette of China Grove; one son Lee Yost of the home; one brother, Scotty Roberson and wife Kathy of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Kylie Jean Giddings, Gage Giddings and Ellie Andrews. Her family also includes her in-laws, Don and Becky Yost and Kim Fraley and family, all of Granite Quarry.
