Teresa Regina Beck Roman

In the early morning hours of February 3, 2018 Teresa went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Teresa was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on January 4, 1932 to John Weber and Pauline (Stevenson) Beck. She graduated from Allegheny High School and soon after began working for Joseph Horne in downtown Pittsburgh in the Millinery Department. Teresa was married to Allen H. Roman on June 20, 1953 and they made their home in Rossyln Farms, Pennsylvania.

Their home and lives were soon filled with four children, Mark, Cynthia, Verna and David. Teresa worked for many years for the family business, Roman Motor Parts, in accounts receivable. Not long after her husband’s death in 1993, Teresa moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. She joined Hickory Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the Miracle Sunday School Class and the Christianaires Senior Choir. After three years, she moved to Kannapolis, and in 2005 she joined Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class.

Teresa will be remembered fondly for her ministry of sending cards to family and friends near and far – never forgetting birthdays, anniversaries, births, get well cards and sympathy cards. Even when she was very ill, and in the hospital or receiving chemotherapy herself, she was faithful in sending out cards.

Teresa was preceded in death by her Mother, Pauline Beck, her husband Allen H. Roman, her brother George Beck and her sister Dorothy Purse.

Teresa is survived by her son, Mark A. Roman and his wife Lynn, her daughters Cynthia A. Barie and Verna A. LaSalle, and her son, David A. Roman and his wife Rene. Mourning the loss of their grandmother are Joanne (LaSalle) and her husband Jerry, Matthew and Britny Roman, Heather LaSalle-Tomasovitch, Michael J. LaSalle and his wife Gabriella, and Alexander Roman. Missing their great grandma are Tabitha (LaSalle) Walker , Timothy LaSalle, Gage Gingerich, Korben and Landon Tomasovitch. Teresa is also survived by her sister, Pauline Fulton, her brother-in-law Robert Purse, and sister-in-law Ginny Beck, as well as many nieces and nephews.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
