Obituary

Mrs. Teresa Ann Doolittle Winters, 61, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Teresa was born September 2, 1964 in Aiken, SC. She was a daughter of Jimmie Franklin Doolittle (Ruth) of Graniteville, SC and the late Jennie Lee Upshaw Doolittle. Teresa worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Best of Care Assisted Living Center in Kannapolis. She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering love, her strength, and the way she made everyone around her feel cared for and valued. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the love she so freely gave.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her step-dad, Clarence Sydney Doolittle, Sr. and her brother, Clarence Sydney "Speedy" Doolittle, Jr. Though she experienced deep loss in her life, she remained strong, compassionate, and deeply committed to her family.

Teresa was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Jesse, and an amazing and dedicated mother to her two daughters, Tina Jewett (Bill) and Brittany Winters (Kevin Giles). Her family was the center of her world and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them every day of her life. She was a proud grandmother to Leigh Ann Williams, Josiah Daniel Cook and Jacob Dylan Cook (Bailey Browning). Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great granddaughter, Seraphina Leigh Hailyn Cook, who brought immense light and happiness into her life. Teresa cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great granddaughter, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Teresa and her sister, Helen Rhodes (Tommy), loved to travel together. She is also survived by her two step-sisters, Teresa Hamilton and Marty Rodgers; and two step-brothers, Jimmie Doolittle, Jr. and Nelson Little.

Teresa's love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
