Terri Lynne Adcock Goodman

September 20, 1960 — June 5, 2026

Kannapolis

Terri Lynne Adcock Goodman, 65, passed away June 5, 2026, at her home following an extended illness.

Terri was born on September 20, 1960 in Cabarrus County to Thomas Leroy Adcock and the late Mattie Jean Adcock.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, June 12, 2026, on their 43rd wedding anniversary, at Royal Oaks Baptist Church. Rev. Andy Downs will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4:45 pm prior to the service.

Terri was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School, attended Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC, and later attended Central Piedmont Community College. She was a member of the American Institute of Banking. She first went to work for Cabarrus Bank & Trust Company in 1979, where she spent her entire career of over 44 years as the bank changed names and ownership: first to Northwestern Bank, followed by First Union Bank, Wachovia Bank, and now Wells Fargo Bank.

Having two children, Baker and Jordan, who were the light of her life, she watched them excel in sports and their careers. Then her grandchildren, Corban and Charlie, came along and the lights grew even brighter and the adventures and love doubled.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Keith Goodman; two sons, Baker Keith Goodman and his wife April Jones Goodman and Jordan Lee Goodman and fiancée Marissa Hull; and two grandchildren, Corbin Cole Goodman and Charlie Cade Goodman.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bryan Adcock; her in-laws, Donald and Louise Goodman; and brother-in-law, Randy Ray Goodman.

Terri wanted to express her very special thanks to the employees at Levine Cancer Center, Shelbie, Grace, Brooklyn, Dr. Steve Parks, and the nurse at Atrium Cabarrus, Tina Barringer, her hospice nurse, for their wonderful care during her illness. She also wanted to express her thanks and appreciation to her two besties who were like sisters, Lisa Young and Cathy Doran, to carry on with Terri's adventures and life.

Her request to all is to hug the babies, plant the flowers, and eat all the good food until we meet again.
