Thelma Lambert Gentle

Mrs. Thelma Lambert Gentle, 85, of 74 Marsh Avenue, NW, Concord, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. John Sell will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Concord. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born October 22, 1919, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Hurley Lambert and Dora Furr Lambert. She was a homemaker and formerly worked for Bangle Brothers Hosiery Mill in Concord. Mrs. Gentle was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Concord. Her husband, Robert Lee Gentle, preceded her in death on May 14, 1965. Survivors include seven children, 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
