Mr. Thomas Belton Driggers, Sr., 81, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at his home in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Upright and Rev. Pat Childers will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Driggers was born March 2, 1941 in Florence County, SC. He was a son of the late Mack Thaddeus Driggers, Sr. and Geneva Courtney Driggers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served during Vietnam. He was a member of Church of God of the Bible in Huntersville where he was also a current Board Member. He was also a member of Mooresville Loyal Order of Moose. He retired from Duke Power.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas B. Nobel; one step-son, Gary Lynn Milam; three sisters, Willie Mae Natal, Marie Courtney and Joyce Cribbs; and three brothers, Mack "Pounce" Thaddeus Driggers, Jr., Samuel Driggers and Laverne Driggers.
Mr. Driggers is survived by his wife, Doris Upright Driggers, three children, Raymond Nobel and Thomas Driggers, both of Florida and Deborah Rush of Gulfport, MS; three step-sons, Ronnie Milam and Eric Milam, both of Kannapolis and Mike Milam of Mooresville; two sisters, Anne Lafon of Norfolk, VA and Patricia Mucheon of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Mack Driggers of Coward, SC; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
