Thomas Allen Morrison

Mr. Thomas Allen Morrison, 84, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church. Pastor James Pauley, Rev. Bobby Utley, and Rev. Sonny Waller will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord. The pallbearers include Ricky Kepley, Jr., Phillip Starnes, Loree Kepley, Kaleigh Starnes, Caleb Kepley, and Rebecca Kepley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lydia, Ashlyn, and Jackson Starnes.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church.

Mr. Morrison was born January 11, 1939 in Wilkes County. He was a son of the late Luther McKinley Morrison and Agnes Brewer Morrison. He was an active member of Faith Baptist Church. Allen was also well known for his tape, bible, and CD ministries. He also was a regular at Buddy's and What-a-Burger, both in Mount Pleasant. Everyone he came in contact with, he mentioned, "Jesus loves you," to them. Mr. Morrison owned and operated Morrison's Stars and Stripes Car Wash in Concord, and retired from being Custodian at Concord Middle School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, the love of his life, Evelyn M. Morrison (April 3, 2005); four brothers, Nolan Morrison, Luther "Junior" Morrison, Jr., Bobby Morrison, and Roy Morrison.

Mr. Morrison is survived by two daughters, Cathy Kepley and husband Rick of Mount Pleasant, and Sandra M. Foy and husband Frankie of Kannapolis; sister, Betty M. Towell of Concord; two brothers, Ronnie Morrison and wife Janet and Harold Dean Morrison and wife Jeanette, both of North Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Rick Kepley, Jr. and wife Jessica, Marie Long and husband Quentin, and Phillip Starnes and wife Crystal; and nine great grandchildren, Loree, Rebecca, and Caleb Kepley, Melanie and Chase Long, and Lydia, Kaleigh, Ashlyn, and Jackson Starnes.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Atrium and Stanly Home Health, and to the nurses and staff at Atrium Cabarrus and Hospice of Cabarrus County.
