Thomas Colson Orvin

Mr. Thomas Colson Orvin, 64, of Fry Street, died Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Bob Young will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2010 at Lady's Funeral Home. Mr. Orvin was born January 20, 1947 in Concord. He was a son of the late Colson Herbert Orvin and Margaret Ilene Hurd Orvin. He worked as a residential carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Tannor Colson Brewer and step-mother, Linnie McCommons Orvin. Mr. Orvin is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol Wilson Orvin, daughter, Kimberly Orvin Brewer of the home, brother, Gene Trammell of Kannapolis and two sisters, Joanne Orvin and Lynda Wise both of Kannapolis and a number of nieces and nephews.
