Thomas Lee Voyles

Mr. Thomas Lee Voyles, 67, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, September 29, 2016, at First Wesleyan Church. Rev. Scott Bryson will officiate. The body will lie in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.

Mr. Voyles was born February 2, 1949 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Hugh Lee Voyles and Ruth Bost Voyles. Mr. Voyles was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis. He worked as a mechanic and loved fishing at the Outer Banks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Joe Voyles.

Mr. Voyles is survived by his wife, Janet Voyles; daughters, Stephanie Rowland and husband Ricky of Gold Hill and Tonya Voyles and fiancé Anthony Goodyear of Kannapolis; brother, Jimmy Voyles and wife Libby of China Grove; sisters, Betty Blackman and husband Jim and Cathy Troccioli, all of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Morgan Newton and husband Billy, Monica Kincaid and fiancé Justin Griffin, Dalton Rowland and Peyton Rowland; three great grandchildren, William A. Newton, IV, Abigail Rae Newton and Walker Abraham Newton; in-laws, Owen Adcock and Gertrude Adcock; and sister in-law, Brenda Hatley.
