Mr. Tim McCoy Hager, 79, of 1901 Lane Street, Kannapolis, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2008, at Kindred Center in Greensboro. A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chuck Halipilias will officiate. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Mr. Hager was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Mecklenburg County. He was a son of the late Robert Hager and Ruby Hager. He retired from Concord Telephone Company as a construction foreman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. Mr. Hager was a member of Poston Perkins VFW Post 8989 and the Kannapolis Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hager; two sons, Bill Hager of York, S.C. and Jimmy Hager of Marion; brother, Mack Hager of Kannapolis; two sisters, Margalene H. Shimpock of Kannapolis and Travis H. Morris of Charlotte; five grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
