Mr. Toan Quang Tran, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Willowbrook Rehabilitation & Care Center in Yadkinville.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Rev. Phil Thorsen will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Tran was born October 21, 1936 in Vietnam. He was the son of the late Thanh Quang Tran and Biet Thi Nguyen. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He retired from Clark Sound in Salisbury where he was an electronics technician. He was a veteran of the South Vietnam Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Binh Nhi Tran.
Mr. Tran is survived by his wife, Micheline Yvette Dovan Tran; seven children, Viet Quoc Tran and wife Mai, Mai Thuy Ngoc Tran and husband My Quach, Tran Viet Tran and wife Loan, Van Thuy Ngoc Tran and husband Vixai Syhavong, Dung Thuy Ngoc Tran and husband Dean Vongkhamchanh, Elvies Tran and Phuong Tran; four sisters, Anh Ngoc Nguyen, Thach Ngoc Tran, Lang Ngoc Tran and Trat Ngoc Tran; three step-sisters, Dao Hong Thi Nguyen, Nhung Hong Thi Nguyen and Nga Hong Thi Nguyen; and 12 grandchildren, Christain Tran, Vincent Tran, Kenneth Tran, Ethan Tran, Carolyn Quach, Carson Quach, Landon Duy Vongkhamchanh, Lana Nhi Vongkhamchanh, Dante Syhavong, Dillon Syhavong, Darryn Syhavong and Dawson Syhavong.
