Tony Marshall Burris

Mr. Tony Marshall "T-Bird" Burris, 43, of 235 Stolz Road, Rockwell, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the residence. Born June 17, 1963, in Cabarrus County, he was the son of Jerry Marshall Burris of China Grove and Doris Holshouser Burris of Kannapolis. He was employed as a painter. Survivors include his wife, Shelia Christy Burris; a son, Timothy "Tim" Marshall Burris of the home; his father, Jerry Marshall Burris and wife, Alice, of China Grove; his mother, Doris Holshouser Burris of Kannapolis; two sisters, Angela Dawn Burris "Sissy" of China Grove, Kimberly Martin and husband, Shane, of Troutman; a brother, Jimmy Burris of Kannapolis; two step-sisters, Tammy Harris and husband, Loy, of China Grove, Sherrie Clarke and husband, Stan, of Fuquay Varina; and 11 nieces and nephews, Jeremy Wilhelm, Patrick Burris, Heath Moore, T. J. Christy, Haylie and Shana Martin, Kimberly Jones, Melissa Jones, Chennan Jones, Traci Crayton and Kelly Clarke.
