Troy Lee Tysinger

Mr. Troy Lee Tysinger, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Carolinas HealthCare System-NorthEast in Concord.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Charity Baptist Church, 2420 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Rev. Dr. Marty Payton and Rev. Dr. Beaver Hammond will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 pm Sunday at Charity Baptist Church.

Mr. Tysinger was born March 8, 1938 in Davidson County. He was a son of the late Walter Tysinger and Annie Kathleen Basinger Tysinger. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church, where he was active in all phases of the church until his illness. Troy was very athletic; he enjoyed all sports. He also coached little league baseball for many years. Troy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He graduated from Hartsell High School in 1957. Troy retired from Camilla Hills, where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a lifelong electrician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Tysinger.

Mr. Tysinger is survived by his wife, Sarah Fink Tysinger; son, Jeff Tysinger of Concord; brother, James W. Tysinger and wife Sylvia of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, Tiffany Blankenship and husband Stephen of Kannapolis and Brittney Tysinger of Charlotte; and one great grandson, Ryker Blankenship.
