Vada Dalton Craig, 86, of Cabarrus Arms Drive, Kannapolis, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Ric Durham will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 to 3:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Born June 17, 1922 in Hall County, Georgia, Mrs. Craig was the daughter of the late O. C. Dalton and Lottie Key Dalton. She retired several years ago from Cannon Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Henry Craig; and a daughter, Peggy Powers. Survivors include a daughter, Susie Rielly of Fayetteville; son, Charles Craig of Kannapolis; two sisters, Betty Gulley of Eatonton, GA, Rena Sealey of Locust Grove, Georgia; two brothers, Bobby H. Dalton of Kennesaw, Georgia , Jimmy Dalton of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Tracy Eddy, Tina Womble, Andrea Craig, Sherry Boggart and Lloyd Boggart; and 10 great-grandchildren, including Dalton Womble, Gage Eddy, Peyton Eddy, Aunna Dixon and Gracin Craig.
