Valerie Jean Starnes Bouknight

Valerie Jean Starnes Bouknight, 63, of Kannapolis, died Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Hospice House in Kannapolis. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Marler Starnes will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at Lady's Funeral Home. Born February 14, 1945 in Gloucester, England, she was a daughter of Winifred Osborne Banks and the late Colon Banks. She formerly worked for Snyder Packaging in Concord. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Solomon and husband David of Salisbury, Debbie Huneycutt of Concord; a son, Michael Byrd and wife Sherry of Concord; her mother, Winifred Osborne Banks of Concord; a brother, Rodney Banks of Johnson City, TN; one sister, Pamela Duncan of Charlotte; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
