Vera Pearl Ward

Mrs. Vera Sprunk Ward, 91, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Midway United Methodist Church. Rev. Burt Williams will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Ward was born on May 30, 1921 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of the late Dr. John Paul Sprunk and Clara Theresa Sprunk. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.

In additon to her parents, she was preceded in in death by her husband, Robert C. Ward in 1987.

Mrs. Ward is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Adkins and husband Ron of Kannapolis; step-grandchildren, Tricia Douglas and husband Stan and Stephen Adkins and wife Christina; and step-great-grandchildren, Brandon Douglas, Taylor Atkins, and Katelyn Atkins.
