Mrs. Verona L. Faggart, 79, of 805 Newsome Road, Salisbury, and formerly of Concord and Kannapolis, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis. The Rev. Sam Crisp will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence. Born August 5, 1925 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late J. B. Lee and Dewey Trollinger Lee. She had lived in the Concord-Kannapolis area most of her life and retired from the Sewing Room of Cannon Mills Plant One. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Harold E. Faggart, Sr.; two daughters, Roni Faggart Lockhart of Simpsonville, SC and Ann Faggart McIntyre of Salisbury; two sons, Harold Faggart, Jr. of Charlotte and Jeff L. Faggart of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 West A Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
