Vicki Lynn Benton Mccombs

Mrs. Vicki Lynn McCombs, 75, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. Rev. John Futterer will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 pm Sunday at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church.

Mrs. McCombs was born July 20, 1946 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Drexler Lloyd Benton and Margaret Carter Benton. She was a 1964 graduate of A.L. Brown, 1986 graduate of RCCC and 1991 graduate of ASU. She retired after 30 years as the Assistant Financial Director for the Rowan County Government. She was an active member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, youth advisor, treasurer, on the church council, a choir member, hand bell choir member, and was in the women's circle. Mrs. McCombs was also a member of Kairos Prison Ministry. Following her retirement, she worked for the Lutheran Synod Office in Salisbury.

Mrs. McCombs is survived by her husband, Michael Eugene McCombs; son, Michael Sean McCombs and wife Jo of Flower Mound, TX; daughter, Vicki Suzanne McCombs Pacua of Salisbury; sister, Sharon Ferguson of Kannapolis; and three grandchildren, Justin McCombs and wife Ellianna, Ryan McCombs and Nathan McCombs; niece, Audra Ferguson; nephew, Chris Ferguson and son Logan and daughter Tessa, and sister-in-law, Janice Harrison.
