Viola Mae Cline

Viola Mae Montieth Cline, 90, a resident of Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis and formerly of Davidson Highway, Concord, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at the nursing facility. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at Parkwood Baptist Church. The Rev. Darrell Coble will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Friday at Parkwood Baptist Church. Born May 17, 1916, in Huntersville, she was the daughter of the late John Gaston Montieth and Cora Elizabeth Boger Montieth. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Cannon Mills. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. Her husband, Harvey Alexander Cline, preceded her in death on December 4, 2001. Survivors include a daughter, Lea Hullender and husband, James, of Lake Lure; a son, David Cline and wife, Judy, of Raleigh; two sisters, Gladys Kimmer and Odessa Steele, both of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Brian Hullender of Atlanta, Ga.,, Lisa Cline Ayers of New York, NY, Tina Hullender Yannone of Concord and Jeff Cline of Charlotte; and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Andrew. Memorials may be sent to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1069 Central Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Boy Scout Camp Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
